Amsterdam, Netherlands. 2018

Quick wall painted in Amsterdam, this painting is inspired by the irony of The 45 Colt and his successor The 45 ACP  (Automatic Colt Pistol).

The 45 Colt is a handgun cartridge dating to 1872. It is a black-powder revolver round developed for the Colt Single Action Army revolver called also "The peacemaker" designed for the U.S. government and was adopted as the standard military service revolver until 1892.

His successor The .45 ACP, is a cartridge developed by J. M. Browning in 1905 for the M1911 pistol. Officially adopted in 1911 by the United States Army and used until nowadays.

The .45 ACP passed its forceful effectiveness, in the American pistols and sub-machine guns in both world wars, Korea, Vietnam, Afghanistan, Irak...

In the United States it is a popular cartridge among civilians and there are police departments that, abandoning the 9 x 19 Parabellum, have adopted the .45 ACP because is a cartridge capable of shooting down any man.

What ironic that a gun named "peacemaker", has been involved in many wars and transformed millions of his random bullets in millions of random deaths and coffins. Giving the price of a life to one bullet
